I couldn’t look at Venezuela without a glance at Iran.

I did some forecasts for Iran early last year (2 February to be exact) so it serves as an opportunity to see how well I assessed the situation.

The answer is very well indeed.

For the year as a whole I stated “Although some of the indicators are weakening they are still in force all year and attacks by or against the country cannot be ruled out. They will definitely be on the defensive and any actions in the coming years are likely to escalate significantly”

This was my analysis based on the progressions with Mars activated by the e progressed Sun and Ascendant as well as the progressed MC ( suggesting it would make the international news) and progressed Mars in q square with progressed Jupiter – making any action bigger and bolder.

I noted that the summer period – from April to July was challenging both in terms of the leadership and economic situation and later related to the military.  Indeed for June I said

“However it is a time when the country is likely to be in focus and if rhetoric was tuned down before it is likely to be much more vocal now.”

This was a particularly noteworthy time because Uranus was conjoining the progressed Sun ( leadership) but Pluto was in hard aspect to the Jupiter-progressed Mars configuration mentioned above.

Interestingly the picture was for better support internally from the people- no doubt having a common external enemy is uniting.

Where the main threat was coming from was clear from the Israel chart which indicated

“Things heat up in May to August, there is a risk of random attacks and escalation of war again. Look especially at early June for events to take place. Things can really get out of hand now especially in relation to other nations” A reflection of the Uranus square to Mars as well as Jupiter opposing natal Uranus in particular in the Israel chart.

I then looked at what I had said for January 2026 ( the chart above is for the beginnings of the protests in December)

My forecast said:

“January and February 2026 are however significantly more unsettled. Sudden changes in leadership cannot be ruled out again and nor can increased rhetoric and threats. This may be a time of internal struggles against the things that underpin the foundation of the country but equally it could relate to external partners or enemies”

This was basically because once again Pluto reactivated the Jupiter-progressed Mars square and Uranus transiting the progressed Sun. The people were more motivated than in 2025 with the Moon opposing the progressed Ascendant trine Pluto and square Uranus.

This of course begs the question “what happens next?”

Well there is a bit of a lull, though the people are still most unsettled  but by May ( probably a bit before as the aspect comes into orb)

“In May through August we return to the more deep seated issues experienced in 2025. But there is still hope to ease the way.

The leadership,….. are finding it difficult now even though there is much talk about opportunities and the way forward in June. Later on in the period things seems generally positive though things might be changing too fast and causing disruption”

This is shown by the continued transit of Pluto to progressed Jupiter ( which lasts until the end of the year) but now with Saturn conjoining the Sun rather than Uranus ( to the progressed Sun). There is far less emphasis on the people being unsettled by then. It may be that the leadership decide to implement more reforms and freedoms, including for women, which won’t go down well with traditionalists.

Either way it looks as if the country will continue to be much in the spotlight for the rest of 2026. The last few months look to be particularly disruptive-I could go on and discuss my forecast for 2027-28 but I think we need to let the dust settle for 2026 first.
