The most significant aspects are the conjunction of transiting Jupiter with Uranus and its square to the Ascendant activated by Mercury at 7 Cancer, representing the news. The Moon has just passed a trine to Mercury and was no doubt part of the underlying story. Certainly at the time of the news reaching the market, the transiting Moon was opposite the progressed Moon

Remember how the stake was confirmed when transiting Mars reached Saturn. Now look at that Mars; it is slap bang on the IC – metaphorically pulling the rug from the whole situation. Saturn is moving slowly square the Twitter Sun (leadership and direction).

Bearing in mind that we don’t have an exact time for the letter we can’t pay too much attention to the transiting angles but we can look for other triggers for the day. As well as that Mars, we can see that the transiting Sun at 16 Cancer is exactly opposing the progressed Ascendant, as Musk literally opposes the deal and the Twitter brand.

What about transiting Uranus, surely, you say, that should be playing a part? It is trine the progressed Mars. At the time of the offer it was trine the natal Mars. While it is representative of sudden change, trines are not as shocking as hard aspects, pretty much everyone expected him to do this at some point.
